New York--(lawntennismag.com) Our picks for Monday:

Victoria Azarenka (BLR) v. Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS)[4] Arthur Ashe Stadium –1st match
Kuznetsova is playing well enough to beat most players in straight sets. Her quarterfinal versus Szavay should be interesting.
Prediction: Svetlana Kuznetsova

Tomas Berdych (CZE)[9] v. Andy Roddick (USA)[5] Arthur Ashe Stadium –2nd match
Roddick's monster serve works very well here and Berdych is error prone.
Prediction: Andy Roddick

Tommy Haas (GER)[10]v. James Blake (USA)[6] Arthur Ashe Stadium –3rd match
Blake leads head to head 3-1, but Haas their last meeting last year at the Paris Masters 6-4, 6-2. Haas could use this win to re-energize his career, but I think Blake is playing more solid than Haas now and will win in four or five sets.
Prediction: James Blake

Anna Chakvetadze (RUS)[6]v. Tamira Paszek (AUT) Arthur Ashe Stadium – 4th match
Chakvetadze runs everything down. Her quarterfinal versus Shahar Peer who plays the same game will need one of them to play more aggressive to win.
Prediction: Anna Chakvetadze

Roger Federer (SUI)[1]v. Feliciano Lopez (ESP) Arthur Ashe Stadium – 5th match
Federer makes quick work of Lopez to rest up for quarterfinal meeting versus Roddick.
Prediction: Roger Federer
